10. Much-Needed, Improved Character Customisation
Throughout the Mass Effect series, I always considered and attempted to actually customise the appearance of my Shepard. The results are usually so off-putting that I settle for good old standard-issue Shepard and just call it a day. This was a consistent trend throughout the whole trilogy, as the character customisation at the beginning of each game simply wasnt up to par. Regardless, with the introduction to this new trilogy, Andromeda promises to be immensely better looking with first-time motion capture work done by the actors, as well as it being the first ME game on current gen tech. This automatically ensures the game will look immediately better (Frostbite Engine!) and the character models is where it will begin. As seen in Dragon Age: Inquisition, Bioware have been steadily improving their character customisation, albeit still needing necessary improvement. Andromeda should lead the way to making a custom-looking protagonist that doesnt look like an abomination, AND potentially even kind of, sort of, having a passing resemblance to your own appearance. This new custom protagonist should look the way WE want them to, and Andromeda seems like it could finally answer this dilemma.
