5. No More "You're The Chosen One" Narrative
Empowerment and escapism don't always go hand-in-hand, but they do in Bioware's games. From Dragon Age to Andromeda, Bioware have fallen back on giving your character some sort of 'activation' power that - especially in Andromeda - helps the protagonist make up for 1000s of years of progress in seconds.
Whether it's a magical incantation or a super-intelligent A.I. implant, the story of Andromeda far too often fell back onto "X monolith wasn't working until you came along!", and this translates into the wider structure of the world itself. As a comparison, the entire point behind making the player embody Raiden in Metal Gear Solid 2 was to show Solid Snake from a completely different light. There is a TON of plot potential in analysing the aftermath of any given 'hero's actions (as the Marvel Cinematic Universe is finding), yet in a Bioware RPG, you save the galaxy, activate every console, solve every racial dispute etc., just by standing there.
We need a change. Simple as.
