Mass Effect Andromeda: 10 New Gameplay Features That Will Change Everything

1. New Game +

Mass Effect has always rewarded dedicated players, usually by allowing them to carry over certain powers, stat bonuses or items over into a new playthrough. This appears to be available again, albeit with some radical new changes.

Carryover bonuses will still be intact, but New Game+ will also allow you to switch genders, an option that wasn’t available in previous games. This might seem like a minor detail, but it opens up a lot of interesting new avenues of play.

You see, Andromeda’s story is centred around two siblings, Scott and Sara Ryder, but regardless of which sibling you choose to play as, the other will still appear as a character in the game. Being able to switch over to playing as the other sibling after a playthrough could allow you to see events from a totally new perspective, not to mention open up some previously locked romance options in the process.

Imagine that you live your life to its fullest, you die, then you wake up and you're living the life of your brother or sister. That'd be crazy. Now add some lasers, biotics, and flesh-eating aliens to the mix, and you've got the recipe for a really interesting sibling rivalry.
