7. Jack
By far, the most angry member of the squad. Jack has been used as an experiment for biotic potential ever since she was a child and as a result, it has left her severely scarred. Her bald head and tattoo-covered look is as iconic a look as any and she is easily the best human companion on the Normandy.
As damaged a character as could be possible, Jack focuses her issues into her violent tendencies and no nonsense behaviour that can make getting to really know her rather difficult. She's similar to Miranda in that sense which makes their slight rivalry fitting and enjoyable to diffuse (or make worse if you want one of them to wind up dead at the end).
Her backstory of abuse is suitably tragic but her ability to overcome her past and go on to succeed in Mass Effect 3 is satisfying on the highest level to see. Jack deserves a happy ending more than most and if she survives then she'll get just that.
