12. Young Otacon Cameos In Episode 12

Without spoiling much about the mission itself, Episode 12 revolves around Otacon's father Huey Emmerich, and at the mission's conclusion, the player gets a brief glimpse at a number of photographs, one of which will be of particular interest to fans. The leftmost picture shows Huey's lover Dr. Strangelove holding their son Hal (Otacon), pictured at an extremely young age but still noticeably the same person, sporting flowing long hair, pale skin and a pair of specs. Given that actually putting a young Otacon in the game would probably have been one step of fan service too far, this was a nice, neat, blink-and-you'll-miss-it reference.
