6. Where Do The Bees Sleep? (Episode 6)

Overview: Recover the U.S. military's new weapon, code-named Honey Bee, hidden at Smasei Fort. The Soviets are also after it. Easily the best of the game's early official missions, this one sees you infilitrating Smasei Fort, a massive, sprawling base which, thankfully, the player is given a huge, cliff-side view of. The simplest way to approach this mission is just to send in Pequod to start cleaning up while you snipe from a safe distance. Even when every enemy is dead, however, locating the Honey Bee is slightly tricky: you have to navigate a series of caverns to finally track it down. When you do, though, you're treated to the arrival of Skull Face along with Metal Gear Sahelanthropus, and of course, the Skulls. However, this is another easy encounter with them, as you can either just flee or use the Honey Bee to blow them away effortlessly. Still, for an early-game mission, it's got a decent level of challenge, a cool cut-scene and a scary showdown at the end.
