Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain - 6 Things We Learned From Gamescom 2015

4. You'll Be Able To Teleport Enemies Towards You

Ever since Mortal Kombat's Scorpion first fired a spear-point from the palm of his hand and pulled his adversary towards him, gamers have enjoyed the power trip associated with yanking their hapless enemies around the screen. In the latest Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain trailer, we were introduced to a new weapon called the Hand of Jehuty (a reference to the Jehuty suit worn by protagonists in the Zone of the Enders games). This weapon is effectively a Scorpion Spear that works across great distances, but instead of pulling the victim towards the player, it instantly teleports the victim, making it a fantastic option for stealthily taking out guards. Whether the Hand of Jehuty makes it into the single-player game remains to be seen, but my bet is that such a flamboyant weapon will remain restricted to multiplayer modes.
