Minecraft has been going for over half a decade now, since its alpha release in 2009. In those five years, the game's millions of players have managed to create just about anything, from rollercoasters to palaces. Minecraft's block-based building system may be deceivingly simple to utilise, but it has resulted in some pretty incredible creations. Despite the game's age, Minecraft still has a booming community, and there are hundreds of servers dedicated to group building projects. There are also yearly competitions for the best Minecraft constructions, at sellout events like MineCon and Insomnia. Minecraft has well and truly earned its nickname of 'digital lego'. This list takes a look at 25 of the absolute best Minecraft fan creations, guaranteed to make you wish you'd wasted your life away in a more creative game.
25. Mirror's Edge CityDownload:Here
It's the iconic bleached lighting that really sells this replica of the city from Mirror's Edge. Unfortunately, the construction doesn't come with an incredible parkour engine.
24. World Of KeralisDownload: Here
One of the most well-known builder servers in Minecraft, the World of Keralis' megacity is an incredible feat of teamwork and dedication. Despite not being based on any one city in particular, World of Keralis looks almost unnervingly realistic.
Not Available A complete reconstruction of the Magic Kingdom, this private server build does full justice to the home of Mickey Mouse. If you can't afford to take the kids to Paris or Orlando, here's the alternative.
22. Hand Island
Not Available. This handy
project is one of the best personal Minecraft islands we've seen. We can't quite put our finger
on what would give it that finishing touch.
