8. Seamless Gameplay - No Loading
Handled rather pleasantly in Arkham Knight's open world, the next Mirror's Edge will be introducing seamless loading into its exterior and interior environments. This is keeping with the title's theme of fluidity and speed, so it's a feature more essential to gameplay than others. It's been made quite clear that Faith will be at her most nimble in Catalyst and sluggish loading could end up being an immersion-breaking feature, so it's encouraging to see this focus benefit the series overall. Whether this has come at the expense of any other gameplay aspects is currently unknown, but here's hoping that Catalyst's city feels just as lively as its character and combat.
