Monster Hunter: World - 10 Best Armour Sets You Must Unlock
1. Dragonking
Yes, we cheated. So sue us, but there's no chance Monster Hunter: World's Dragonking headwear isn't taking the top spot in the hierarchy of defensive garments.
Nought but a frayed eyepatch in appearance (must be an ironic name), Dragonking gets as close to the status of best-in-slot as is possible in Capcom's RPG for a few reasons, not least because it's incredibly easy to forge at the Smithy.
Besides accessibility, this piece of simple pirate apparel comes with the Weakness Exploit skill, increasing the Affinity (damage modifier) of attacks that land on weak points. Chuck that together with a flat damage boost, absurdly high defence and, unlike every other piece of endgame gear, no elemental weaknesses and, well, it's hardly any surprise that International Talk Like a Pirate Day is celebrated on the regular in the New World.
That is, of course, until Capcom decides to nerf its universal appeal in a future patch. Come on, you know it's going to happen sooner or later.
