Mortal Kombat 1: 22 Biggest WTF Moments

In the original timeline, Quan Chi had Hanzo Hashoshi killed and reborn as a fiery wraith called Scorpion.

But in MK1's Invasions, we see a different person has taken on that name. By choosing Season 1: The Spectre, players take control Hanzo Hasashi from another timeline. In this quest, the spear-chucking ninja travels to different dimensions, hoping to find one where his wife, Harumi, is alive.

When his efforts fail, Liu Kang transports Hanzo to a world where Harumi still lives.

However, Hanzo gets the shock of his life when he confronts her. In this reality, it's Hirumi who became Scorpion, not Hanzo. After Hirumi lost her husband to Quan Chi, rage consumed her heart, inspiring her to become a vengeful warrior. When Hirumi recognises this Hanzo is in the same boat as her, the pair agree to fight together against Quan Chi.

Although things usually don't end well for Scorpion, it's nice to see him and Hirumi bonding over their shared losses to take down evil.
