8. Shinnok
From the glimpses of Shinnok we get in the MK 11 story trailer, I think it's very safe to say that beheading someone will probably kill him and render him not much use in a fight. However, as discussed with our prior Mileena entry, death is about as much of an obstacle to the writers of Mortal Kombat as a bump in the road is to an Olympic hurdler.
However, MK 11 will be launching with series baddie Shao Khan as a playable fighter, as well as having a story based around new antagonist Kronika, who is neither confirmed or unconfirmed to be playable.
With two Mortal Kombat antagonists blessing the story/roster so far, the time-travelling story of Mortal Kombat 11 would be wasting a valuable roster spot on bringing back Shinnok as a fighter, turning a comfortable duo into a more cluttered trio. And you know that old saying, something about company becoming a crowd?...
