Mortal Kombat 11: 10 Characters We DON'T Want To See

6. Shujinko

Ed Boon loves to revitalise older characters to give them a second chance, but we think he should leave this one where it came from.

Shujinko was the main character of the story mode for Mortal Kombat Deception, and since then he's only really made a few cameos in the series. He was once described as the 'next Liu Kang', which is pretty funny looking back.

Just take a look at what NetherRealm did with Bo' Rai Cho if you don't think they're capable of bringing back Shujikno. Bo Rai Cho was one of the most hated characters, but he was somehow made to be pretty interesting in Mortal Kombat X.

Even with NetherRealm's skill of remaking older characters, the whole appeal of Shujinko was that he was essentially an avatar for the player but besides that he was pretty boring. Bringing him back for Mortal Kombat 11 doesn't really work if he's just another fighter without a notable personality.
