Mortal Kombat 11: 10 Worst Fighters You Must AVOID
It's with a heavy heart that Baraka makes this list.
Everybody's favourite blades-for-arms hell spawn made his big return in Mortal Kombat 11 and it's fair to say fans were excited. Baraka is, or at least should be, the epitome of what makes Mortal Kombat fun to play: fast, violent, gory, and disgusting.
Yet Baraka in Mortal Kombat 11 just felt a little... samey. His move-set was largely similar to previous games in the franchise and he just wasn't very exciting. NetherRealm has done an incredible job of continually reinventing its series and part of that is down to taking characters away, bringing others back, and introducing new ones. However a game away didn't seem to do anything for Baraka.
He's slow, his moves are uninspired, and his potential for racking up a huge combo is low. Yes, he still has his cool blades and they do good damage, but ultimately this was a straight-forward return to form. Considering the fan love for the character and his over-the-top design though, it's disappointing how basic this comeback was. Baraka deserved more and so did we.
