Mortal Kombat 11: Ranking EVERY Fatality So Far
Test your might!
Although Mortal Kombat has long since risen above being "just about the gore", fans can't help but get excited when it comes to the fatalities.
Saying that, Mortal Kombat has fatalities that quite drastically range in quality. You either get something amazing and genuinely recommendable in a "You gotta see this!" kinda way, or a weirdly deflating, boring end to a match.
Fatalities are at their best if they either show really detailed gore, or if they're funny. A combination of the two is Mortal Kombat perfection, and it's here where you can tell NetherRealm have had huge amounts of fun with MK 11.
However, there are some fatalities that are too short, overlong or don't really do anything of note. With so many amazing characters in the series, all with unique abilities, it's disappointing if they falter when the spotlight's entirely on them.
To Mortal Kombat 11's credit, there are very few fatalities that are straight up bad. Most of what we've seen are some of the best in the franchise so far, but that doesn't mean there aren't a few duds.
Let's start negative and work our way up the ladder.
36. Jacqui Briggs - Bombs
Sadly for one of the returning "Kombat Kids", there's just nothing special about this fatality at all.
All Jacqui does here is plant some bombs on her opponent and blow them up, one by one. It's not particularly gory, and weirdly, that's it.
Sure, blowing up bits of the opponent individually is cool, but it doesn't feel unique in the slightest, instead making Jacqui seem more throwaway as a result.
The only redeemable thing is that it showcases more of Mortal Kombat 11's great gore/dismemberment system, but even then, it's not in an especially creative way.
