13. Sub-Zero
One of Mortal Kombat's originals, Sub-Zero in a nutshell is a living legend. But just like any legend before him their prophetic narrative must come to an end. Then there's the curious case of Kuai Liang - which is seemingly renewed time and time again with little to no innovation, exposition or extra fanfare to boot.
It's irritating to see such a phenomenally reputable fan favourite dropped from such a great height. The impact of the fall must've done something to his confidence too. As the now subdued linearity of his intertwined move-set, his monotonous story chapters (of which have more or less unnecessarily extended his tediously redundant chronicle into something that lost its appeal before it found it) and the egocentrically embarrassing Dimitri Vegas skin that has absolutely no business being associated with Mortal Kombat.
It's with a heavy heart that we have to refer to Sub-Zero as a reinforcement for endorsement that has severely lost his edge as the legendary ninja mostly associated with the franchise. Receiving a colder shoulder than usual with his lack of originality making him but a sporadically suggestible choice unlike his earlier versions.
