Mortal Kombat 12: 10 Lost Characters NetherRealm MUST Include
2. Li Mei
Li Mei is an under-utilized character who represented that the Mortal Kombat universe is filled with more than just sorcerers, ninjas, and robots. She told the story of how an ordinary person could be drawn into a conflict simply with the desire to do the right thing.
Despite being from Outworld, Li Mei brought a very unique and human perspective to the story of Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance. As a native of Outworld, Li Mei found herself and her village under the subjugation of the Deadly Alliance and entered their tournament not seeking any kind of glory, but simply to free her people from their oppressors.
Li Mei does make a very brief cameo appearance in Mortal Kombat X's story, leading her people to Earthrealm due to the rising conflicts of the Outworld civil war and continues her theme of being a character with the best of intentions.
Having only been featured in Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance, Deception, and Armageddon, her gameplay didn't see a lot of changes.
As a character who's received training from some of Mortal Kombat's greatest masters, there is great potential for this character in both story and gameplay, making her a more than worthwhile inclusion.
