Mortal Kombat Movie: Every Character Confirmed So Far

Fans of Mortal Kombat should know that several character designs are pallette swaps of each other; Ermac is red Scorpion, Mileena is pink Kitana and so on. One such colour change to create a new character was making Scorpion's costume green, thereby turning him into Reptile who would then get his own backstory and lore.

A part of the endangered Zaterran species, Reptile is a savage and brutal fighter using his claws, teeth and tail to give opponents a hard time. He can cloak himself from view and his acid vomit is his signature move, for both general combat and the dreaded Fatalities. After burning an opponent's face off, Reptile has no compunction with using his elongated tongue to wrap around their head and committing a chameleon atrocity, i.e. pulling the head off and devouring it in one gulp. Delicious?

Two shots in the trailer show the green monster, one where he's decloaking and sneaking up on Sonya, and the other shows him throwing down with Kano amidst a burning building. He might just appear as a wildcard without an allegiance, or on the side of Shang Tsung, but either way, let's hope the heroes have acid-proof preparations.
