Mortal Kombat X: 12 Brilliantly Gruesome Fatalities You Need To See

Seeing is believing... and then throwing up.

One of the gaming's greatest franchises is back with the most gore-soaked of a vengeance, and boy did NetherRealm know they had a lot to live up to as the premiere series for schlock horror fans and gorehounds worldwide. Co-creator Ed Boon noted at E3 last year that as the harbinger of all things gruesome and wince-inducing, they need to forever live up to that expectation - and luckily for reaction video-creators and fans of the franchise alike, the newest MK is easily the most violent and over the top game ever created. The thing is though, you wouldn't want it any other way. As a game, MK X is another solid fighter. There's plenty new moves, some slowed down to accommodate specific timing windows, a plethora of new characters from all corners of the different Realms, and just all-round everything has been given one hell of a coat of polish. It looks positively gorgeous in motion, (as gorgeous as HD evisceration and acid-burned faces can look anyway) and it's a testament to both the creativity of the development team and their unremitting dedication to create the most inventive, disgusting and occasionally hilarious Fatality kill animations that Mortal Kombat will forever retain its status at the top.
