Despite many arguing that he is little more than Steph Curry's glorified sidekick, Klay Thompson has enjoyed a true breakout season on his own merit. The exciting shooting guard broke the 20 points per game barrier for the first time in his career, and crucially tightened up his consistency from the three point and free throw lines. He also dished out an average of three assists, no mean feat considering Curry's show-stealing role from the point guard slot. Klay's shooting stats are set to improve immeasurably in the next 2K instalment, especially given his eye-catching tendency to light up the scoreboard in no time. If anything, he is perhaps the player on this list most in danger of receiving too strong a boost.
