This would act as a more streamlined version of the all-encompassing MyLeague mode. Instead of assuming control over every customisable aspect of the NBA, New Franchise mode would see players in the role of an owner recently accepted into the league. The uniform, logo and location of the new franchise would be entirely up to the player, but they'd be forced to start off in a small arena with a relatively unenthusiastic fanbase, gradually building the reputation of the team over time with sensible draft picks and impressive seasons. At first, none of the league's top players would be interested in joining the new team, but eventually the player will hopefully have built a franchise capable of becoming the NBA's next great dynasty.
