NBA 2K17 Hands-On Review: 10 Things You Need To Know

1. Improving Upon Greatness?

Overall, NBA 2K17 looks to have done exactly what was asked. It has built upon the insane depth of last year's franchise modes, touched up the overall presentation, and continued to subtly improve the gameplay itself.

MyCareer mode was by far the biggest let-down last year, but now looks to be well on the road to recovery. It may not have reached another peak this time around, but seems on track to do so in another year or two.

The only real weakness of 2K17 is MyTeam, but even that has enough bells and whistles to prove a worthwhile distraction from the other, meatier game modes.

My first impression of NBA 2K17 is that it is a packed game. Were it a real-life NBA team, it'd have a deep roster, great coaching staff, and the best fundamentals in the league. Very impressive.
