This year's edition of NBA 2K takes into consideration the NBA/NBPA Collective Bargaining Agreement like never before. Apart from staying under the cap or trading draft picks, NBA 2K18 introduces a whole lot of different options of team management.

For example the new roster minimum is 14, not 13. The players will now also be able to sign Super Max contracts - and probably demand them more often - which will make cap management even harder.

The G-League (formerly known as the D-League) is back, which will make stashing underdeveloped talent less risky - you can sign the player to the lower league and monitor him without your cap suffering.

Speaking of young, not-ready prospects, the mode will also allow you to stash picks for the future - pick an international player to watch him develop overseas - and trade draft-rights.
