Pistons were lucky enough to enjoy dominance in two eras and both teams were known for the same thing: hard-nosed play. The 1980s/90s Bad Boys were more brutal and more successful. They also laid the foundation for the style exhibited by Pistons teams.
The Pistons will probably have the best-rated defense in the game. There's really no way to score under the basket with Laimbeer and Ben Wallace. It's really not important that on the offensive end the Pistons might not be so great, because, every basketball fans is well aware that while offense wins games, defense wins championships.
