NBA 2K19: 8 New Features You Need To Know
6. There's A Better Offence/Defence Balance
Attack-minded players will be pleased to know that 2K have balanced things better between defending and hitting a counter break. Sure, it's still possible to drive the net and find success, but it's much more rewarding to plan attacks carefully. If not, you're more likely to get hit on a break yourself.
All it takes is one mistake, just like the real NBA. You're playing with the world's best here, after all.
Improved physics mean the ball doesn't bounce around out of possession for as long (a good thing for anyone frustrated by animation cycles that never seemed to end when you needed them to), and player movement looks much more polished generally.
Play as top stars like LeBron James or brutes such as DeMarcus Cousins and the same old rules will still apply; their strength is vastly superior to everyone else on the court, so it makes sense that they'd have an advantage here and could defy the new balance 2K have implemented.
It's good to know that's the exception, not the rule.
