New Halo Wars 2 Posters Are Awesome
3. Kevin Tong Focuses On Banished Leader Atriox And Captain Cutter
Tong, who has established himself through his work depicting mainstream media, took two of Halo Wars 2’s central characters and built around them. The ‘bad’ side centres on the imposing figure of Banished leader Atriox.
“The Atriox poster is meant to show an oppressive and lived in world,” said Tong. “I spent the most time of texturing everything heavily and using bright colors sparingly to match the mood and palette of the Banished.”
On the ‘good’ side, Tong chose to build a poster around Captain Cutter, a man who has unenviable task of saving humanity.
“These Halo Wars 2 posters were incredibly challenging, but extremely fun to work on,” Tong added. “The world in the game is so vast and intricate, a visual playground of imagery and I did my best to run with it and create something with fans of the game in mind.”
“I wanted to show off different aspects of the game through different illustration styles for each poster.”
