2021 could be a good year for NFL fans.

Not only does it look like Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson will take the QB position to new heights for years to come, but gamers will soon be getting two football releases to play around with. EA's dominant Madden series, which has become lazy and a little unsatisfying to some, will plod on, and now 2K are back in the saddle.

That's right, 2K fancy a slice of EA's pie. NFL 2K21 will reportedly offer up something different to Madden; rather than relying on simulation gameplay and an ultra-realistic feel (which...some would say EA's product doesn't actually offer these days), 2K will focus on "non-simulation football game experiences". There are major question marks hanging over exactly what that means.

It could mean any number of things, to be honest, and it's all a bit vague. These are early days though, and that's why it's the perfect time to start whipping up wishlists and hoping 2K can recapture their glory days of old. Lord knows they need a hit after poor efforts like WWE 2K20...
