Nintendo Labo Explained: 9 Things You Need To Know
5. How It Works: The House
One of the most random inclusions amongst other peripherals that have clearer mechanics, was a house.
Comprising the Switch tablet on the front and a Joy-Con in the middle, the reality is that the tablet works as a "window" into the entire thing, showing you a number of creatures living inside. From here - and because the Joy-Con's top-down chimney sensor is forever scanning the rooms and corridors of everything below, you can "plug" pieces of card into the side, affecting everything within.
One in the trailer was a crank that let loose a stream of water into one of the rooms, but you'll most likely be able to mess with the furniture and physics of everything, too. Definitely more of a tech demo-type idea than anything with in-depth mechanics (from what we've seen), at least Nintendo proved they can do a physics sandbox better than anyone with Breath of the Wild.
With just that in mind, a miniature version of Zelda's various causal systems could actually be fantastic fun.
