The Leak: The NX controller will do away with standard "rumble" technology in favour of a more substantial kind of force feedback.

What It Means: Nintendo were the pioneers of the rumbling controller, releasing the Nintendo 64's Rumble Pak way back in 1997. It'd make sense, then, to see them champion new force feedback technology.

Specifically, this means the NX's controller would output different rumbling sensations depending on context. For example, a sword clash might output an abrupt, sharp rumble whereas striking a ball in something like Mario Tennis might produce a softer sensation.

Used smartly, Nintendo could seriously up the already immersive quality of its games, or use vibrations throughout gameplay to subtly notify players of other things going on in the console, like friends coming online or messages being received.
