Nintendo NX: 8 Rumours That Would Dominate Xbox One & PS4

6. Nintendo Is Finally Getting Third Parties Back On Board

One of the things Nintendo has failed to do in recent years is court third party developers. It's incredibly obvious that some of the most popular franchises in gaming have been glaringly absent from the Wii U, such as the Batman: Arkham series, the Dark Souls games, Minecraft, Borderlands... the list goes on.

In many ways it's unsurprising Nintendo might let these relationships falter. Who cares about third party titles when you have so many amazing exclusives? With franchises like Super Mario, The Legend Of Zelda, Animal Crossing and Metroid, why worry about what everybody else is doing? The simple answer is because these third-party games are popular. They're flashy, stylish and everyone is playing them. Oh, and some of them are legitimately fantastic, too. Buying a Nintendo Wii U means making a choice: Nintendo Exclusives or Everything Else. At last, it seems, Nintendo is attempting to remove that choice entirely. Reportedly, Nintendo approached many of the prominent third parties at E3, providing NX development kits and once again striving to strengthen relationships. Imagine a world in which buying an NX means getting all of the top third party games while also getting Mario and Zelda. Now there's a beautiful thought.
