The Game: Super Smash Bros. For Wii U. Though many gamers champion Super Smash Bros. Melee as being the greatest entry in the series (many laud its technical fluidity and increased depth of gameplay), it's undeniable that Smash Bros. Wii U has the most content and variety of any Smash Bros. game.

The Improvement: How do you improve on a roster so huge? How do you better the inclusion of characters like Pac-Man, Bayonetta and Cloud? The main area that Smash Bros. Wii U falls down is its single-player content. Gone is Brawl's subspace emissary, a loose campaign woven together with pre-rendered cut scenes, replaced with a more lacklustre tabletop progression system. Giving players some sort of campaign would be a great way to appeal to players less interested in online multiplayer.

And despite the massive array of fighters, there's always room for improvement. The removal of the Ice Climbers owing to the technical limitations of the 3DS, for example, was a controversial decision that annoyed many fans.

How about bringing them back, alongside other previous characters like Wolf, Pichu and Young Link? Chuck in a few fan requests like King K. Rool and an Inkling and Smash Bros. Switch would undoubtedly by the definitive entry in the series.
