Nintendo Switch: 10 Launch Rumours You Need To Know
8. ...But It Will Launch With A Brand New 3D Mario
One of the most exciting - and fleeting - moments of the Nintendo Switch reveal trailer was the appearance of a brand new 3D Mario game. In the footage, the game appears to have dropped the fixed camera style of Super Mario 3D World, instead moving back to navigation similar to that used in Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine.
Upon glimpsing the title in the reveal trailer, many reasoned that the game had barely been shown off because it was still very early in development. But the truth could be completely different.
It's strongly rumoured that Super Mario Switch (or whatever it ends up being called) will actually be the Switch's flagship launch title, replacing Zelda: Breath Of The Wild. It makes sense: the Switch needs to launch with something huge, lest it suffer the same fate as the Wii U. Without Zelda, the only thing worthy of replacement is Mario.
