Goichi Suda's strange, satirical and seminal slasher No More Heroes and its widely overlooked sequel were both announced and released for Switch on the same day this past October - just in time for cel-shaded, sun-shaded antihero Travis to touchdown with an all-new adventure next year.

No More Heroes III was initially slated for 2020, but even Travis Touchdown couldn't bat away COVID-19. We last saw 'footage' of the game at June's New Game Plus Expo, albeit obscured by Suda51 in typically tongue-in-cheek fashion as he prattled on about various irrelevant topics. A month later, the game was postponed owing to the pandemic, though we got an actual look at it once more as the prequels dropped.

Players will be able to return to Santa Destroy to eradicate an alien race masquerading as superheroes at an unspecified point in 2021.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
