Nintendo Switch Reveal: 9 Ups & 10 Downs
2. The Atrociously Awkward English Translation
Another major problem with the Switch conference was the utterly terrible presentation style, with dry businessmen being tediously translated into English by translators who sometimes seemed asleep (especially whoever was translating Suda51's speech).
Then we had to sit through Bill Trinen pulling translation duty during EA's presentation about FIFA, which only made the sports segment of the show feel even more interminably long.
Hell, a few trailers didn't even reveal an English title at the end, causing even more confusion and frustration.
Nobody's asking for a Japanese media event to be fully in English, but there are ways to ensure the show is less dry and awkward to listen to than this.
