No, Resident Evil 3's Nemesis Can't Follow You Into Safe Rooms

Here's some good news for all the other prospective Jill Valentines out there.

A recent report from Official Xbox Magazine has sent those Resident Evil fans who were looking forward to REmake 3 scurrying for cover, as it implied the safe rooms - those wonderful bastions of calming music that provided access to our magical item boxes - would not be as "safe" as they once were.

Nemesis, it was claimed, could actually enter those areas, leaving you with no breathing room you could rely on at all.

OXM have since come out and clarified that this is not the case at all. What their journalist was in was actually a save room (simply a room with a typewriter to save the game) rather than a 'safe room'. If you've played Resident Evil 2 REmake, then the police station main hall is a save room, while the darkroom under the stairs is a safe room. Transplanted across to RE3, Nemesis could come for you in the main hall, much like Mr X and regular zombies did before, but none could enter the darkroom.

Capcom themselves have since weighed in, assuring those fearfully cancelling preorders that the safe rooms remain sacrosanct and that Nemesis will only be able to chase you through every other part of the game.

Yeah, "only".

After hearing that you are what you eat, Mik took a good hard look at his diet and realised he might just be a szechuan spare rib alongside prawn fried rice.
