8. Never Underestimate Supporting Party Members & Summons

Speaking of high level fights and being under-levelled, a lot of the citizens you'll find in towns and on the road are INCREDIBLY powerful.

Not only that - which is done by Guiding or Alluring NPCs (use Ophilia or Primrose, respectively), but H'aanit's Pokémon-esque ability to Capture creatures when they're on low health can be a lifesaver.

For H'aanit, you'll be able to see the "type" of attack before committing to the summon (be it sword, spear etc.), whereas Prim and Ophilia's are blind, unless you can remember from the recruitment screen.

Still, you can often get NPCs along that are way stronger than your team combined, giving you a fifth member, one more chance to deal damage, and a great fighting chance in any encounter.
