Outer Worlds: 11 Disturbing Secrets & Locations You Totally Missed

9. Robophobia!

The Outer Worlds
Private Division

This is relatively simple, but one of the first flaws you're probably going to be given is Robophobia, which makes the player character terrified - you guessed it - of robots. There's some passive debuffs which effect combat, but the flaw also gives you the option to scream in terror when talking to auto-mechanicals in the game.

The issue is there just so happens to be an auto-mechanical in your team (should you find it, anyway). The S.A.M. unit can join you on missions, and while he's not as fleshed out as the other companions, on account of him being little more than a standard cleaning robot, you can still talk to him, which will trigger the phobia as much as any enemy.

It ain't explicit, but having someone on your ship at all times that you're petrified of can't do much for team morale, can it?
