Overwatch: 10 Things We Already Know About Sombra

Whenever a game like Overwatch brings out a new character or a champion to play, diversity is key to initial popularity and success.
Overwatch already has a reasonably balanced line-up in terms of its diversified and flexible arrangement of champions, but something did feel old in its post-modern world: a reasonably modern character.
Whilst you may argue (successfully) that such characters as D. Va and Tracer could be enough to counterbalance the appearance of cowboys and Scandinavian blacksmiths, Blizzard has developed a new character which may alter the course of gameplay and modes to come: Sombra.
Translated as ‘shadow’ in English, Sombra is a technology hacker with lethal extras. The fact that she isn’t portrayed as just some skin with a gun is refreshing, and the gameplay trailer shows us just how incredibly versatile she may prove to be in the battlefield.
After some extensive watching and re-watching of all that is available on the newest character, it’s important to dissect what is already known and how you can fully utilise her to the best of her abilities. With that in mind, here are some things we now know about Sombra.

10. Her Origins
Whilst it is tricky to define her origins since none of the material created purports to a specific birthplace, Sombra’s work has been felt most within the game at Dorado, where she is responsible for the downfall of a corporation’s president based in the town.
Since a fair few of Overwatch’s characters can be easily traced to a specific map, it would be easy to lump Sombra in with Dorado as very few have a genuine connection to this location.
She’s one of the few to have a voiceover artist in their supposed regional accent (Lucio is Brazilian… with an accent the Harlem Globetrotters would be proud of), so it wouldn’t be uncommon to think that the game may have very big plans for her going forward, especially since she developed a rapport with…
