Overwatch 2 Wishlist: 10 Things Fans Need To See
3. Skippable Cutscenes
One thing that's a drag with the events in Overwatch 1 is the fact that some of the PvE events have story cutscenes or openings that, while ostensibly skippable, require all the players to agree to skip them unanimously.
This is fine in a short-term situation, but when you've already played the same map and mission 6 times in a row, you grow pretty tired of watching the same animation before you can play – especially if that animation is almost as long as the game will take.
No matter how cool the cinematic may have been the first time, it's not nearly as neat the sixteenth time in a row.
Making the ability to watch the opening or ending cutscenes optional before the game starts, would help mitigate the hate for that one person - the one who won't skip Tracer talking about the good ol' days for 3 minutes – only for your healer to drop out of the game and you have to reload into a new match.
