Persona 3 Reload: Every Boss Ranked From Worst To Best
8. The Hierophant
The first half of the July dungeon, and the much better balanced of the two. The Hierophant's status ailment of choice is fear, which prevents your party from performing actions and can even make them flee the battle.
Fortunately, party members cannot flee boss fights, so you don't have to worry about suddenly being down a team member.
Just like The Lovers boss, this one is a test of how well you can manage status ailments while still defending against and attacking the enemy. Unlike The Lovers, however, not all of Hierophant's attacks are built around inflicting its status ailment.
This gives the player much more breathing room, while still keeping the threat of the status ailment at the front of their minds.
The Hierophant is the training ground for The Lovers, a quick crash course on ailments and how to work around them. But its slightly easier nature ironically makes it a much more balanced and fun experience.
