6. Strength And Fortune

As much as good prep work is a vital part of preparing for boss encounters, as the saying goes: the first casualty of war is the battle plan. Luck has always been a huge factor in Persona's combat, and no boss takes more advantage of this than the Strength and Fortune boss.

With Ken and Aragaki - two of your most useful companions - off doing Spoiler Stuff, you have to face this boss short-handed. This proves to be the least of your worries, as the Fortune shadow turns intangible before introducing the main gimmick of this fight: the roulette wheel.

Simply put, the wheel spins every few turns, and whatever it lands on - good or bad - afflicts every combatant on the field. This ranges from healing to buff/debuffs, to suffering damage. All are at the mercy of the...the Wheel of Fortune. I just got the joke.

Well anyway, on top of worrying about the cruel hand of fate, you still have to fight the Strength shadow. True to its name, this boss is no joke. Fortunately, its pattern is incredibly straightforward, relying on Fortune to mix things up. This boss is a test of how well the player can account for, and adapt to, the fickle hand of lady luck.
