PES 2013: 10 Reasons You Should Play Over FIFA 13

4. Evolved Player Movements

In my opinion, the player models running, stretching their shirts while falling to the ground and even gliding on their chest across the pitch celebrating, have always had more of that unquantifiable magic than FIFA has managed, even if they've lost ground in other lost the fight to powerful bank accounts. Before I drift off, I just want to add that PES 2013 has brought in a serious revision of the player model and its movements. After a few days of playing, reviewing and watching my goals in slow motion while switching cameras, I noticed how the players finally feel more human. The physics of the ball has always been superior in PES, but the player was a different story: previous editions had shocking robot-like movements and annoying moments where the snappy movements gave the impression of scripted animations. But not this time: a few games with Arsenal made me more or less realise what it feels like to be inside Mertesacker€™s huge 6ft body, or pushing the ball forward and sprinting like Walcott, and even holding the ball for a creative pass from Wilshere. The players feel human and organic: in an intense game, you€™ll feel how their weight, centre of gravity, momentum and angle of impact come into play as you try to weave your way to victory.
