PES 2021: 6 Ups & 3 Downs

4. The Price Is Right

This one is simple, but effective.

In recognition of the lack of changes to PES 2021’s gameplay - and acknowledging their own gamble - Konami have offered this year’s Standard Edition of PES to fans for just £24.99! To put that into perspective, that’s 50% cheaper than last year (£49.99) which feels like a fair reflection given the circumstances.

Not only that but compared to the price points for FIFA 21’s Ultimate (£89.99) & Standard Editions (£49.99), PES might well have just played a masterstroke in trying to convince players to make the switch at a time when they may not be so keen to contribute to EA’s already deep pockets.

Oh and as if that wasn’t enough of a price drop already, for a limited time (until 29/10/2020) Konami are offering a 20% discount on the Club Editions of eFootball PES 2021 to anyone who bought a copy of eFootball PES 2020 too!
