10. The Name Of The Console
Most websites (including this one) are, for the time being at least, referring to Sony's new console as the PlayStation 4, or for abbreviation purposes, the PS4. And quite rightly, as well. It is difficult to imagine it being called anything else considering throughout the history of the console it has always been named as such, just with a different number at the end. However, it has been speculated that the new console could be called "Orbis" whilst
others have suggested it could be called "Thebes". Both, to us at least, sound utterly appalling and make us cringe. It's not, unfortunately, outside the realms of possibility that Sony could announce one of the two aforementioned titles at their big reveal today. Upon the release of the handheld device PlayStation Vita, Sony opted for a completely new name rather than naming in the PSP2. This could then perhaps signal a shift in their way of thinking, and perhaps by tomorrow, we will all be referring to the new console as "Thebes".
