Way back in Mid-February 2020 (which I think was about 9 years ago now) Ubisoft got straight to the rough stuff and revealed that it was planning to bring Rainbow Six Siege to both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X in time for their respective launches. A reveal so tantalising, it made me wish I'd shaved my legs.

This all came from an interview with Ubisoft Director Leroy Athanassof where he was asked when the game would be releasing, and after evading the question quite diplomatically, just went all-in with; "I can't give you a date because those dates are, in the end, on the people doing the next-gen consoles. What I can tell you is that we are going to be on the consoles from launch".

Great news for fans of the franchise and the existing Rainbow Six Siege, with additional promises materialising about the ability to play both across platforms and across generations once the game is released.
