1. Mid-battle Evolutions
Once again, this one comes from the anime and is definitely the feature I'd most like to see included in future games. For players of the current games, levelling up in the middle of a battle can occasionally give your Pokemon the boost it needs to triumph in a tough battle. This could be improved, though. In the anime, Ash has had a number of his Pokemon evolve into a stronger form at crucial points in gruelling battles. Inevitably the Pokemon's new found strength sees Ash get the victory and always makes for an exciting finish. For me this is a feature that should definitely be added to future main series games. Obviously the option of choice could still exist for players not wishing to evolve their Pokemon yet would remain, and so there should be no real drawback to this feature being added. Including this would be most beneficial around the 5th/6th badge mark in each players journey when their starter Pokemon will be approaching the necessary level to hit their final form. The rush of seeing your longstanding partner evolve mid-battle and the chance to instantly try out those new and improved powers would be really exciting, and a great addition to the games.
