Pokémon Presents August 2021: 5 Biggest Announcements

2. New Information Regarding Pokémon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl

The original trailer for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl was a bit underwhelming. Luckily the second trailer and the discussion that took place after it during the Pokémon Presents was a much better showing of the titles.

The trailer was mostly good minus the weird zoom-ins on text boxes which looked awful. It showed Sinnoh off some more and very briefly gave us a sneak-peak at some really cool looking additions.

Lucky for us these additions were then detailed in length after the trailer.

The Sinnoh Underground has been expanded upon to include new mini-games and the new Pokémon Hideaways. These Hideaways will contain various 'Mons that you won't be able to catch on the surface, and they will change depending on the kinds of statues you have in your secret base.

Some older features like Pokémon Contests are also back, and the amount of customisation that can be done to your Pokéballs now goes way beyond the seals available in the original Pokémon Diamond and Pearl.

Additionally, there's character customisation and Pokémon can walk behind you.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are coming to the Nintendo Switch on November 19 2021.
