The anime alone has gone from strength to strength, constantly improving in both art style and story substance, inspiring kids with the value of friendship and hard work. As of 2018 there have been over 1000 episodes! And somehow main character Ash is still 10 years old?!
As for the world of video games, Pokémon in 2018 is now an avid collector's dream, with over 800 different little monsters for us to discover, capture, battle and trade. Pokémon Sun & Moon were the most ambitious handheld releases yet, completely changing the way we explore the world and how we progress up the ranks in battling. With Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu & Let's Go Eevee arriving in just a few months, everything is about to get even better, with the introduction of multiplayer play, and the potential quality of life on the incredibly popular Nintendo Switch console. One day, maybe if they stop discovering hundreds more, we'll finally catch them all!
