Pokémon Sun & Moon: 10 Things It Must Lose From X & Y

1. Stop The Game From Being So Pointlessly Easy

In truth a large number of the entries on this list have been alluding to one of the biggest flaws with Pokémon X & Y: the difficulty. Pokémon games have never exactly rivalled the likes of Dark Souls for a gruelling challenge, but none have ever been easier to beat that X & Y were.

A combination of easy access to Mega Evolutions, too many strong Pokémon being gifted to the player and the overpowered Exp. Share were - to name but a few - all factors in making this the most painfully easy Pokémon game of all time. There was virtually no challenge at all in the player's journey from humble beginnings to Hall of Fame glory, and even less after the events of the story were complete.

Obviously these games span gamers of a multitude of ages, and striking the right balance for the difficultly is a tough ask for the developers. However, given that the likes of Diamond & Pearl had previously managed to successfully attract and satisfy players of all ages, there's simply no denying that the team could've found a much better middle ground than they did with X & Y. Fixing this is without doubt the most important change to make between generations six and seven...
