Pokémon Sword & Shield: 10 Gigantamax Secrets You TOTALLY Missed

7. Blastoise

Pokemon Sword Shield
Game Freak

Blastoise is a water-type Pokémon and its cannons are its distinctive feature. With every new form, Game Freak have given it more firepower. With the Gigantamax form, Blastoise gets lots, and lots and lots of cannons.

So, Blastoise is packing heat, but why so many and in such small clusters?

Say hello to the HMS Dreadnought, a warship build shortly before the first World War that revolutionised the Royal Navy's superiority of the ocean waves. She was steam powered, making her one the fastest ship in the world at the time of her completion.

The Dreadnought was also the most powerful vessel in the world at the time. This is because it was packing more firepower than any rival country's fleet, focusing on smaller clusters of similarly sized firearms rather than having one larger cannon backed up by a bunch of smaller ones.

Perhaps the most relevant link of Gigantamax Blastoise are how the cannons are laid out. This form of Blastoise has cannons that are grouped together in clusters around its shell that fire at the same time with a torrent of water.
